Mr. Mitchell founded Mitchell Industries in 1996 and has served as its Chairman and Chief Executive Officer since its inception. Prior to founding Mitchell Industries, Mr. Mitchell worked for 22 years with Vulcan Materials Company, concluding his career with Vulcan as a Senior Vice President within the Construction Materials Group. In 1996, Mitchell Industries acquired DeSHAZO Crane Company, a leading manufacturer of overhead cranes in the U.S. In 1998, Mitchell Industries formed Mitchell Investment Company to own and develop commercial and residential real estate. In 2003, Mitchell Industries formed a new operational unit, DeSHAZO Service Company, one of the largest providers of parts and service for overhead cranes in the U.S. In 2008, Mitchell Industries acquired Global Systems which specializes in the design and manufacture of automated equipment primarily employed in cellular manufacturing operations, precision production machining services for industry and PLC-based control systems for industrial facilities.

Mr. Mitchell received a Bachelorís Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Alabama and is a graduate of the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School. In 2002, he was elected a Distinguished Fellow of The College of Engineering at The University of Alabama. Mr. Mitchell serves on the Executive and Investment Committees of the Company and is Chairman of its Board of Directors.


Mr. Mitchell joined Mitchell Industries in 1998 and serves as its President and Chief Operating Officer. He has had extensive operating experience working within the wholly owned subsidiaries of the Company, beginning with an initial assignment as an inside sales representative with DeSHAZO Crane Company. Subsequently, he served as a Regional Sales Manager for DeSHAZO Crane Company, Vice President of Sales for DeSHAZO Service Company and President of DeSHAZO Crane Company. Mr. Mitchell is responsible for the operating companies within the Mitchell Industries portfolio. Mr. Mitchell serves on the Executive and Investment Committees of the Company and is a member of its Board of Directors. Mr. Mitchell is a graduate of the University of Virginia.


Mr. Ivey joined Mitchell Industries in 2004 and serves as its Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Ivey is responsible for the financial and administrative affairs of the Company and leads the value assessment and due diligence efforts with respect to acquisition candidates. Prior to joining Mitchell Industries, Mr. Ivey served as the Chief Financial Officer of an industrial manufacturer and distributor in Birmingham, AL. Mr. Ivey began his career with Arthur Andersen LLP, working with a diverse group of manufacturing companies throughout the Southeast. Mr. Ivey holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of South Alabama and a Masters of Accountancy degree from the University of Alabama. Mr. Ivey is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Alabama Society of Certified Public Accountants. Mr. Ivey serves on the Executive and Investment Committees of the Company.
